Garbage srting (垃圾分类) began n July 1 2019. Hwever, I live in my building with the ther 238 families and we live with a similar system (系统) fr years. Here, I’d like t talk abut ur experiences.
In Octber 2016, the gvernment (政府) chse ur neighbrhd t be part f a pilt (试点的) prgram fr garbage srting. T help the prgram run successfully, we set up a vlunteer team. I am ne f the vlunteers. Hwever, several f us didn’t knw if we culd lead peple in the building t change their habits.
We began with the usual ways. We handed ut ntices arund the neighbrhd. We als went dr t dr t tell peple hw t srt garbage. Hwever, they made many mistakes. Fr example, many didn’t knw wet rubbish meant fd waste. Instead, they thught it meant rubbish that was wet. Sme even refused t srt their garbage.
As a result, we vlunteers had t d lts f srting urselves. At the same time, we went arund explaining the rules. We kept talking t thse peple wh refused t srt their garbage. We let them knw we culd help t srt garbage fr them. It was a matter f time and patience. We believed they wuld finally change their mind.
Six mnths later, we were successful in changing peple’s mind. Peple in my building began srting their garbage. Sme even jined us t help us.
I think face-t-face talks played an imprtant rle. Smetimes, these talks led t cnflicts, but they were much mre effective (有效的) than handing ut ntices. It was interesting t see what happened. I hpe everyne knws garbage srting is gd fr them.

Garbage srting (垃圾分类) began n July 1 2019. Hwever, I live in my building with the ther 238 families and we live with a similar system (系统) fr years. Here, I’d like t talk abut ur experiences.
In Octber 2016, the gvernment (政府) chse ur neighbrhd t be part f a pilt (试点的) prgram fr garbage srting. T help the prgram run successfully, we set up a vlunteer team. I am ne f the vlunteers. Hwever, several f us didn’t knw if we culd lead peple in the building t change their habits.
We began with the usual ways. We handed ut ntices arund the neighbrhd. We als went dr t dr t tell peple hw t srt garbage. Hwever, they made many mistakes. Fr example, many didn’t knw wet rubbish meant fd waste. Instead, they thught it meant rubbish that was wet. Sme even refused t srt their garbage.
As a result, we vlunteers had t d lts f srting urselves. At the same time, we went arund explaining the rules. We kept talking t thse peple wh refused t srt their garbage. We let them knw we culd help t srt garbage fr them. It was a matter f time and patience. We believed they wuld finally change their mind.
Six mnths later, we were successful in changing peple’s mind. Peple in my building began srting their garbage. Sme even jined us t help us.
I think face-t-face talks played an imprtant rle. Smetimes, these talks led t cnflicts, but they were much mre effective (有效的) than handing ut ntices. It was interesting t see what happened. I hpe everyne knws garbage srting is gd fr them.
