Mving t a freign cuntry is an amazing, life-changing experience. It’s a chance t meet new peple, put yurself in a different culture and pssibly learn anther language. Hwever, befre such an adventure, there are sme practical decisins that need t be made. One such decisin is chsing where t live.
Will yu stay in yur wn apartment where yu can have yur wn space and privacy? Will yu share a flat with ther yung freigners wh are in a similar psitin t yu? Or will yu chse t live with a hst family? Fr me, chsing t live with a French family was the best chice I made, and here is why.
Firstly, a family can shw yu arund the city r twn and help yu settle in, stpping yu frm feeling lnely. When yu’re in a new envirnment, yu might feel lst, tired and hmesick—I knw I did. Hwever, my hst family were wnderful and welcming; they shwed me which buses t take t get t wrk, cked dinner fr me, and tk me with them n trips t the beach and the theatre. These were great chances t experience French culture and build relatinships.
