Mr. Smith, the prfessr at my business class, had a unique way f ging ver the answers t ur weekly tests. Fr each questin, he wuld ask a randm student fr their answer and then cntinue t grill (盘问追问) him/her, frcing him/her t defend that answer. It was certainly a memrable way t review. Hw I wished I’d been a mre experienced student and gt used t the prfessr’s grilling! I wasn’t, thugh.
But in my anatmy (解剖学) class, Dr. Cuddy intrduced “high pwer” and “lw pwer” bdy psitins, saying “high pwer” psitins invlve taking up much space and making yurself lk big, while “lw pwer” pses, in cntrast, invlve making yurself lk small, keeping yur arms and legs crssed and held clse. Peple tend t see thers with high pwer pses as natural leaders, and are mre willing t hire them. Her research finding was that spending just tw minutes standing in a high-pwer pse increased a persn’s feeling f pwer and self-cnfidence. She wanted us t try it ut.
