A. Linking verb be
系动词亦称连系动词,它本身有词义,但不能单独用作谓语,后边必须跟表语,构成系表结构说明主语的状况、性质、特征等情况。常见的系动词有以下几种: 状态系动词 持续系动词 感官系动词 变化系动词 表像系动词
★ 状态系动词状态系动词用来表示主语状态,通常只有be (am / is / are / was / were)一词。彼得很聪明。Peter is very clever. 那是我的过错。That was my fault.

B. Other linking verbs
★ 持续系动词持续系动词用来表示主语继续或保持一种状况或态度,常见的该类系动词有keep, remain, stay等,这几个词都可意为“保持”。如:格林先生开会时总保持沉默。Mr Green always kept silent at the meeting.
★ 感官系动词感官系动词主要有: lk 看起来 smell 闻起来 sund 听起来 taste 尝起来 feel 摸起来她的主意听起来很不错。Her idea sunds great. 这种布手感很软。 This kind f clth feels very sft.
那个小女孩先是发怒,后来又伤心起来。The little girl first gt angry and then later became sad. 她没多长时间就富了。She grew rich within a shrt time.
变化系动词表示主语变成什么样,常见的该类系动词有:becme, grw, turn, get, g, cme等,皆有“变得;变成”之意。
★ 表像系动词表像系动词主要有: seem, appear, lk 等,意为“看起来像”。如:他好像很伤心。 He seems very sad. 他看起来很累。He lks tired. 他看起来很伤心。He seems (t be) very sad.

C. Linking verbs fllwed by nuns r nun phrases
系动词之后常跟形容词作表语,但有些系动词也可跟名词或名词短语作表语。 能跟名词作表语的系动词常见的有:be, becme, appear, seem, prve, remain和 turn等。注意:turn后跟(表示主语身份的)名词作表语时,不加冠词。
