    A Phtgrapher's Experience in Iceland
I fell in lve with the Arctic as it's such a mysterius and magical destinatin, where the phtgrapher is frced t slw dwn, t see and hear the whales breaking thrugh the sea ice, r brave the veil (面纱) f plar night. ______ I can just make pictures in a mere instant using my smartphne, stick it back in my pcket, and jump right back int the experience.
    A. But that hides the truth.
    B. Yu can experience the culture here.
    C. They twered ver me at rughly 6 meters high.
    D. It pens up a gd many amazing pprtunities.
    E. When shting, I have t bear tugh cnditins.
    F. There was already n distance between me and the ice.
    G. This is where the experiences are s fascinating that a big camera is just in the way.
【答案】G 根据前文“I fell in lve with the Arctic as it's such a mysterius and magical destinatin, where the phtgrapher is frced t slw dwn, t see and hear the whales breaking thrugh the sea ice, r brave the veil (面纱) f plar night. 下文“I can just make pictures in a mere instant using my smartphne, stick it back in my pcket, and jump right back int the experience.”(我可以用我的智能手机在一瞬间拍照,把它放回口袋里,然后立刻回到体验中。) 选项中“a big camera”和下文的“make pictures in a mere instant using my smartphne”形成呼应,故选G。

    G. By the midnight the crwd begin t thin and the nise dies dwn.
【答案】F 空格前说“Yu will see many peple standing arund the tables.(你会看到很多人围着桌子站着)”,空格后说“Once there is the slightest indicatin that the custmers are leaving their table, yu will see a few peple diving fr it.(一旦有顾客离开餐桌的微小迹象,你就会看到一些人去抢)”。 F选项“They will be n the watch fr a table mst likely t be empty.(他们会密切注意哪张桌子很可能是空的)”能够承上启下,符合语境,故选F。

【答案】B根据上文“In fact, several cities have cnsidered r will ban real-time facial recgnitin bservatin used by law enfrcement agencies.(事实上,一些城市已经考虑或将禁止执法机构使用的实时面部识别)”和下文“It’s just nt allwing the gvernment bdies t use live facial recgnitin sftware.(它只是不允许政府机关使用实时面部识别软件)”可知,尽管一些城市已经考虑或将禁止使用的实时面部识别,但主要是针对执法机构和政府机关,并不禁止其在商业中的运用,所以B项“But sales rganizatins can still use it at certain times.(但是销售组织仍然可以在特定时间使用它)”符合语境,且与上文构成转折关系。故选B项。

The dictinary is actually a steadily enlarging vlume.(这本词典实际上是一本不断扩大的书。)

When peple knw they are being watched, they are less likely t cmmit crimes. Anther advantage is...”。故选G项。

3.空前说“The next technique is t write yur draft rapidly withut wrrying abut being perfect.(下一个技巧是快速写草稿,不要担心是否完美。)”,空后说“Yet, by learning t live with imperfectin, yu will save yurself headaches and a wastepaper basket full f crumpled (弄皱) paper.(然而,通过学习与不完美共存,你将避免自己的头痛和一个装满皱巴巴的废纸篓。)”,E选项“T many writers try t get their drafts right the first time.(太多的作家试图在第一次就把草稿写好。)”
4.空前说“The third technique is t try printing ut a triple—spaced (三倍行距) cpy t allw space fr revisin.(第三种方法是打印出三倍行距的副本,以便有修改的空间。)”

根据前文“Fitness Magazine recently ran an article titled “Five Reasns t Thank Yur Wrkut Partne.” One reasn was: “Yu’ll actually shw up if yu knw smene is waiting fr yu at the gym,”(《健身杂志》最近刊登了一篇题为《感谢健身伙伴的五个理由》的文章。 C“Yu'll wrk harder if yu train with smene else.(如果你和别人一起训练,你会更努力。)”
7.根据前文“First f all, decide what yu want frm that persn. 和后文“Or d yu just want t be physically fit, able t mve with strength and flexibility?(或者你只是想要身体健康,能够移动的力量和灵活性?)” D“D yu want t be a better athlete in yur favrite sprt?
8.根据前文“Yu might think abut psting what yu are lking fr n scial media, but prbably wn't result in a useful respnse.
10.根据前文“Yu and yur partner will prbably have different skills. 和后文“Over time, bth f yu will benefit -- yur partner will be able t lift mre weights and yu will becme mre physically fit.(久而久之,你们双方都会受益——你的伴侣会举起更多的重量,你也会变得更健康。)” F“Just accept yur differences and learn t wrk with each ther.

由此可知,D项“Dn’t get caught making an embarrassing mistake at a restaurant (不要在餐馆犯尴尬的错误)”符合语境,其中“at a restaurant”对应标题中的“When Dining Out”,同时引起下文“Knwing sme tips will help ensure that yu have an enjyable meal with friends r family — n matter where yu are in the wrld.
根据上文“When yu put them dwn between bites, always put them dwn tgether s they are parallel with the edge f the table in frnt f yu. 由此可知,F项“Never stick them upright in yur fd r crss them as yu use them (不要把它们笔直地插在你的食物中,也不要在使用它们时交叉放置)”讲述的也是使用筷子时的注意事项,符合此处语境,其中“them”指的是上文的“chpsticks”。故选F。
根据上文“In India and the Middle East, it’s cnsidered very rude t eat with yur left hand. Peple in France expect yu t eat with a utensil in each hand.
根据下文“In Prtugal, this wuld be a serius mistake, because it shws the chef that yu dn’t like their seasning skills. Similarly, in Italy, never ask fr extra cheese t add t yur fd. 由此可知,G项“It may seem like simple request t ask fr salt and pepper at a meal (吃饭时要盐和胡椒看似很简单)”符合此处语境,其中“request”是关键词,说明,在用餐时提出一些我们看来很平常的要求在某些国家是无礼的。故选G。

One f the best ways t see the big picture – what yu want ut f life – is t lay ut yur gals.”
47.由“ Discuss yur cncerns with a friend, parent r teacher”可知,与朋友、父母或老师讨论你的忧虑。
