(17) The mm refused t leave her baby, first using her trunk and then her feet t get her baby t safety. Unfrtunately, the anxius mther elephant made matters wrse by pushing mre mud int the well, and it almst cvered the baby, wh was trapped frm 9:00 p.m. t 8:00 a.m. the fllwing mrning. The life f the little elephant was in great danger. But thankfully, peple living nearby heard the sad cries f the mther elephant. They immediately rushed ver t see what had happened. (18) The villagers fund the mther, wh refused t leave her baby. S, the villagers had t stand far away t watch everything. (18) Then the kind-hearted villagers tried their best t get the mther away fr a while using bananas, in rder t remve sme f the sil stpping her frm getting the baby ut. At last, the mther tightly wrapped her trunk arund the baby’s bdy and pulled him ut. (19) Then the tired mther and her baby happily walked side by side as they cntinued their jurney. (20)
