I’m a 66-year-ld harp(竖琴) student. Others in my class are five, seven, ten... I fancy myself a surce f inspiratin fr them, wh wuld say, “If he can d it, I can, t!”
Fr sme years befre we stepped n the real stage, ur recitals(演奏会) were given nline. I culd play perfectly —when n ne was lking. But thse nline recitals caused me a kind f stage fright. Smething abut being watched and recrded, perhaps? Anyway, it was nt t serius.
Hwever, last year was a whle new ball game. That spring came with a real stage. An excited crwd. Clapping. Filming. A real recital! Exciting but stressful. I didn’t knw if I culd handle it.
The adrable little perfrmers were delicately dressed in their party-best skirts, with leather shes hanging beneath t-high chairs, unable t reach the grund. Luckily, I culd. We sat amng the guests befre the shw, struck by their excitement. One by ne, up and dwn, my fellw students went —each playing superbly. Then, it was my turn. I thught I was ready.
But I struggled frm the start. I kept my fingers mving. Sund still radiated frm the strings, but the tune was all wrng. I restarted bth pieces three times. When I gt ttally lst fr a few ntes in the middle, I thught, “I dn’t knw what this is anymre, but, hey, it sunds kind f nice!” I kept thinking, “Make a jyful nise, regardless!”
That eight minutes was like eight hurs. Being the eldest in the rm ften makes peple think yu’re the best. The truth, especially at that recital, was far different. But I wuld have awarded myself the gld fr chutzpah — start playing a new instrument at 62, and then perfrm in frnt f a large audience.
Making music knws n age, and all players are welcme. Lking back, I realize my lengthy life experience has taught me that the shw must g n —n matter what is ccurring. Life’s music is playing! It’s my jb t just shw up and keep trying.

Have yu ever seen the Mn rising ver yur twn r city? It can appear very large when it is lw n the hrizn. Our mn ges thrugh phases (月相) and it lks a little different every day. When the whle mn is lit up, it is called a full mn. When the Mn is entirely dark, it’s a new mn. When there is nly a thin edge f the circle shining, it’s a crescent mn.

The reflected light frm the Earth is bright enugh t light up the side f the Mn that isn’t receiving direct sunlight.
The Da Vinci glw is nt easy t see. Cnditins need t be just right. Due t the angles f light, the Mn has t be very lw n the hrizn. The best time t see it will be in the days befre and after the new mn. During these days, the lit-up edge f the crescent mn is at its thinnest stage. If yu bserve the Mn befre sunrise r after sunset, it may be pssible t witness the reflected light frm the Earth. Fr the best experience, chse a lcatin utdrs where there is nt t much artificial light. Yu can use a telescpe, but it’s nt necessary since the Mn will lk just as impressive when viewed with the bare eye.
23.Which f the fllwing is the Da Vinci glw?

C.It ccurs at the crescent mn stage.D.It needs bright light frm the Sun.
26.Which f the fllwing matters mst t an ideal bservatin f the phenmenn?
    A.A suitable place.B.Gd eyesight.C.A special instrument.D.Bright mnlight.
