Led by physical activity prfessr Amanda Paluch, an internatinal grup f scientists cnducted an experiment amng adults aged 18 and lder. They gruped the nearly 50,000 participants int fur cmparative grups accrding t average steps per day. The lwest step grup averaged 3,500 steps; the secnd, 5,800; the third, 7,800; and the furth, 10,900 steps per day. Amng the three higher active grups, there was a 40—53% lwer risk f death, cmpared t the lwest step grup.

"The mre relatinship categries they talk t in a day and the mre even their cnversatins are acrss thse categries, the happier they are. And we find this in a large sample acrss many cuntries," Cllins said. Evenness relates t the distributin f cnversatins amng thse different relatinship categries.
