During the Sng (960 -1279) and Yuan (1271-1368) dynasties, there was huge success in ancient Chinese abut sea trade. Quanzhu then was knwn abrad as Zaytn and it grew int ne f the busiest seaprts in the wrld.

A bwl with a small hle flats(浮) in a water tank(水箱) inside the elephant's bdy. As the bwl slwly sinks(下沉), it pulls a rpe that mves a human figure. His mving pen shws the number f minutes past the hur.
Every half hur, the water bwl becmes full and sinks cmpletely. This causes a ball t fall frm the tp f the clck. The mvement f the ball causes a phenix t mve and make a sund.
The ball then drps ut f a falcn's muth int the muth f a Chinese dragn. The weight f the ball causes the dragn's head t mve dwn, and the dragn's tail pulls the water bwl back up.
Finally, the ball drps ut f the dragn's muth and int a vase. As the ball lands in the vase, the elephant driver mves and makes a sund. The cycle begins again until there are n mre balls in the tp f the clck.
