    One day, when Henry was wrking in a restaurant, a snake suddenly appeared and bit his hand. A few days earlier, the snake arrived frm Asia in a bx f bananas. It climbed ut and hid smewhere. “I was trying t pick it up when it bit me again. I threw it acrss the kitchen, and it landed n a table.” While the snake was lying n the table, Henry quickly picked up his mbile phne and tk a pht with it. Then the snake hid behind the fridge.
    When Henry was trying t find the snake, his hand began t hurt badly. He hurried t hspital. As the dctrs were checking him, the pain gt wrse. But they culd nt help him because they did nt knw what kind f snake bit him. As he was lying there in great pain, Henry suddenly remembered the pht. The dctrs sent the pht t a z. As sn as they learnt what kind f snake bit him, they gave Henry the right medicine, and he left hspital the next day. “S if a snake bites yu, take ut yur mbile phne r camera. Take its pht, and shw the pht t the dctrs,” suggests Henry. “But as yu knw, the snake wn’t smile!”
    【知识点1】when和while的区别:
    when引导的时间状语从句既可以指时间点,也可以指时间段;while引导的时间状语只指时间段。因此,在when引导的时间状语从句中,动词可以是终止性动词,也可以是延续性动词;而在while引导的从句中,动词必须是延续性动词。 They arrived while we were having dinner. =They arrived when we were having dinner. 我们吃晚饭时他们到了。
    2. 由when引导的时间状语从句,如果主句用过去进行时,从句应该用一般过去时,表示一个动作正在进行的时候,另一个动作(突然)发生了,强调后一动作发生的突然性。We were talking when the teacher came in. 我们正在说话时,(突然)老师进来了。While we were talking, the teacher came in. 当我们正在说话的时候,老师进来了。(该句只表示老师进来的事实,不强调突然性)3. 当从句和主句的动作都是延续性的或同时发生时, 即主从句都用过去进行时的时候多用while引导。They were singing while we were dancing. 他们在唱歌,我们在跳舞。

    用when和while填空。
    【知识点2】bite是动词,意为“咬”,过去式为bit。bite后面可直接跟宾语。英语中表示“咬/打/抓……某人的……”,可用句型“主语+谓语动词+sb.+介词(n/in/by)+the+身体部位”,在这个句型中,常用的谓语动词有pat, hit, strike, beat, tuch, take, catch等;介词n后常接较硬而突出的身体部位。如:head, back, nse, chest, shulder等;in后常接较软而凹的部位。如:face, eye, stmach等;介词后面所跟的名词前必须用定冠词the,而不用his, her, my或其它物主代词。 Jhn hit him n the nse. 约翰打了他的鼻子。 I caught the by by the arm. 我抓住了那个男孩的胳膊。单项选择: He hit the by the head.
