3.序数词的读法：(1) 1、2、3单独记（即first, secnd, third） (2) 8后少t，9少e（即eighth, ninth） (3) 5、12变ve为fth（即fifth, twelfth） (4) 整十位数变y为ie再加th（如twentieth）一个月的某一天用序数词表示，一般用缩写，缩写保留数字和后两位字母或只有数字。比如5月31号，May 31st或May 31，读作May (the)thirty-first。

日期的表达方法“2nd August/2 August”和“August 2nd/August 2”都可表示日期，一种为英式表达，一种为美式表达，区别如下：（1）英式表达：按日、月、年的顺序。如：13 June 2019或13th June 2019（可读作 the thirteenth f June twenty nineteen）。
