    Penguins live arund the Suth Ple. They usually spend all their waking hurs in the water. Only during the egg-laying and mating perids d penguins actually live n land. Penguins cmmnly are black with black heads and white breasts. Large penguins ften stand abut 3 feet in height.

    Macquarie Island lies in the Suth- west Pacific Ocean, halfway between Australia and Antarctica. Its native inhabitants encuntered challenges. Human interventin led t the ersin f the riginal habitat, cased chas and destryed the eclgy dramatically.
