Thirty minutes later, the test papers were cllected by Mr. White. “I am t mark yur papers nw,” he tld the class. After marking the test papers, Mr. White said, “Three f yu wn a prize tday fr excellent test scres. Peter, David and Mary gt 100 percent n the spelling test!” Mr. White praised them. After Mr. White gave the test paper back, Peter had a lk at the wrds, feeling prud f his spelling. All f a sudden, the wrd “cntributin” cnfused him. It didn’t seem right. If I tell Mr. White ne f my spelling wrds is wrng, I’ll have t give my prize back, r I will becme an example fr telling a lie.” Staring at the red sign “100%” which was written n his test paper, Peter was lst in thught. After a while, he remembered a lessn Mum used t teach him, “We ught t be an hnest persn.” Paragraph 1: Slwly, Peter raised his hand._________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Paragraph 2: Peter lked arund and fund many f his classmates were smiling at him._______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
If I tell Mr. White ne f my spelling wrds is wrng, I’ll have t give my prize back, r I will becme an example fr telling a lie. if引导条件状语从句;“ne f my spelling wrds is wrng”是省略that的宾语从句;r为并列连词,意为“否则,不然”。
Paragraph 1: Slwly, Peter raised his hand. “Mr. White, I didn’t get 100 percent n the test because I misspelled a wrd.” He ①std up, walked t his teacher, handed him the dictinary and his test paper and said, “I spelled cntributin with ‘s-i’ instead f ‘t-i’.” Peter culd feel his classmates lking at him ②with surprise as he walked back t his seat. Hlding up Peter’s test paper, Mr. White said, “Class, Peter did smething even mre imprtant than spelling every wrd crrectly n a test.” Mr. White ③smiled at Peter. “He taught us all a lessn n being hnest.”
Paragraph 2: Peter lked arund and fund many f his classmates were smiling at him. “Peter, I want yu t keep this dictinary because yu set an example fr all f us,” said Mr. White. Peter tk the dictinary frm his teacher and expressed his thanks t him. Meanwhile, he ④culdn’t wait t shw it t Mum and tell her ne f his best days ever. On arriving hme, he tld Mum what had happened. ⑤“Yu did the right thing. Hnesty is the best plicy,” said his mther prudly.(173 wrds)
1. Peter culd feel his classmates lking at him with surprise as he walked back t his seat. 2. “Peter, I want yu t keep this dictinary because yu set an example fr all f us,” said Mr. White.
