[2024·安徽省淮北市高三一模]A battery made f paper stands ut amng the 200 best inventins f the year in TIME Magazine. “It sunds impssible: Just add water t a piece f paper and get energy,” said TIME Magazine, wh chse the Swissmade battery as ne f the winners in this year's “Experimental” inventins.
The battery was created by researchers at the Swiss Federal Labratry fr Materials Testing and Research. “Over the last decades, we have witnessed an increasing use f electrnic devices, leading in turn t electrnic waste (ewaste) becming the wrld's fastest grwing waste stream.” wrte the researchers in their published paper. They develped the paper battery aiming t reduce the envirnmental impact f singleuse electrnics by turning t mre envirnmentally friendly materials.
The battery was described t be made frm paper with salt inside and based n printed inks: tw kinds f inks cntaining different minerals acted as the psitive end and the negative end. Analysis f the perfrmance f a necell paper battery shwed that after tw drps f water were added, the battery started wrking within 20 secnds and reached a stable vltage (电压) f 1.2 V. After ne hur, the necell battery's perfrmance drpped significantly as the paper dried ut.
