[2024·山东省滨州市高三二模]Over the past few years, electric scters have been brught t Paris and dzens f ther cities wrldwide as an envirnmentfriendly individual transprt ptin. What cities have gtten instead is chas—scters shting dwn sidewalks at dangerus speeds r laying abandned n sidewalks. Bth riders and pedestrians have been injured and smetimes killed.
The peple f Paris have spken lud and clear: get electric scters ff f ur streets. Amng the 100,000 peple, nearly 90% f them vte in favr f a scter ban. It's easy t see why.

In New Yrk City, there is a scter speed limit. But it's pretty rare t see a New Yrk City pliceman dling ut a ticket t a scter rider. Other cities require scter riders t bey standard traffic laws, but these regulatins are ften verlked.
Anther prblem with scters is that there is n bvius spt fr them within urban infrastructure. They g far t fast t be safe n the sidewalk, which may bring ptential risks t pedestrians. But scters are als inapprpriate fr the bike lane—they dn't mve like bikes, which makes them difficult t see and navigate arund and can be dangerus fr scter drivers and cyclists. Scters als aren't suitable fr the rad, Scters dn't g fast enugh t share space with cars; and their riders are nt prtected against vehicles ging 30 miles per hur r mre.
In cities where public transprt is slid and pedestrians fill the sidewalks, scters shuld see themselves ut r be regulated ut. And in ther cities where cars dminate and public transprt is lacking, the pririty shuld be t build new infrastructure t mve peple arund efficiently and greenly.

5.What can we learn abut electric scters?
    A.They are cstly and nisy.
    B.They are ecfriendly but risky.
    C.They are deadly and abandned.
    D.They are cnvenient but inefficient.
6.What des the example f the New Yrk pliceman indicate?
A.Rarely d New Yrkers ride scters n the street.
B.The larger the city is, the stricter the regulatins are.
C.Relevant regulatins have nt been strictly enfrced.
D.Parisians are mre bedient t traffic regulatins.
7.What is Paragraph 4 mainly abut?
A.Scters run at a lw speed.
    B.Scters pse ptential risks.
    C.There is n navigatin system n scters.
D.There is n lane specially designed fr scters.
8.What is the purpse f the last paragraph?
    A.T define. B.T advise.
