F. Sctt Fitzgerald, brn n September 24, 1896, an American nvelist, was nce a student f St. Paul Academy, the Newman Schl and attended Princetn University fr a shrt while. In 1917 he jined the army and was psted in Alabama, where he met his future wife Zelda Sayre. Then he had t make sme mney t impress her.

But his greatest success was The Great Gatsby, published in 1925, which quickly brught him praise frm the literary wrld. Yet it failed t give him the needed financial security. Hwever, Fitzgerald’s prblems with his wife Zelda affected his writing. During the 1920s he tried t rerder his life, but failed. By 1930, his wife had her first breakdwn and went t a Swiss clinic.
