When I was a 19-year-ld cllege student, a call frm the hspital abut my father’s bld transfusin and thrat surgery came the night befre an exam. My father had been in a deep uncnscius state fr a week, and I was the clsest sn t him, respnsible fr his medical decisins. The bld transfusin was an easy decisin. It was a relatively safe prcedure. When I was a 19-year-ld cllege student, a call frm the hspital abut my father’s bld transfusin and thrat surgery came the night befre an exam.
