It’s a knwn fact that emissins frm gas-pwered vehicles are harming the atmsphere. In respnse t this, Prsche, the German sprts car brand, began a pilt prgram f prducing e-fuels in Chile last year. Currently, e-fuels will be used nly in sprts cars at Prsche’s perfrmance and experience centers.
E-fuels are made by passing electricity thrugh water. The electricity separates the hydrgen and xygen mlecules. The hydrgen is then mixed with CO2 t prduce liquid e-fuels. E-fuels can be prduced using many renewable energy surces, such as slar energy and wind. They fllw the chemical structure f gasline, making it pssible fr gas-pwered cars t run n e-fuels with little t n mdificatin.
E-Fuels are prepnderant (占优势的) ver gas. E-fuels can help ease the change away frm gas-pwered cars, fr thse wh may nt be able t affrd electric vehicles(EVs). They will als help t reduce waste by keeping gas-pwered cars in service. Additinally, the use f e-fuels will nt require new infrastructure t be built unlike EVs.
Existing gas statins and cars will be able t stay in use, which is already a big saving. Hwever, pinins differ n whether e-fuels are truly ec-friendly. E-fuels are widely said t be nearly carbn neutral, althugh an independent study indicates that e-fuels release the same amunt f CO2 as gasline. Since e-fuels are still being develped and tested, their true impacts are still unknwn.
E-fuels are very expensive t prduce, partly due t energy lss during prductin. Unfrtunately, nly abut 50% f the energy used in prducing e-fuels is actually transfrmed int fuels. Additinally, nly abut 16% f the energy used in e-fuel prductin is actually used t pwer the car.
Even thugh the use f e-fuels will keep existing infrastructure, it will still take time and mney t include it in everyday life. Currently the price f c-fuels is nearly duble the cst f regular fuels. Thugh pinin is divided n e-fuels, with mre testing and develpment, they have been cnsidered as anther way t help fight against the climate crisis by many researchers.
28.What can we learn abut e-fuels?
A.They were tested in Germany at first.B.They are applicable t gas-pwered cars.
C.They were prduced relying n slar energy.D.They need t be mixed with CO2 in actual use.
29.What’s paragraph 3 mainly abut?
A.E-fuels are greater than gas.B.E-fuels are rich in gas.
C.E-fuels are dependent n gas.D.E-fuels are equal t gas.
30.What d the figures in paragraph 5 mainly indicate?
A.EVs have enjyed much ppularity.B.The cst f e-fuels will g dwn gradually.
C.There are many difficulties in advertising e-fuels.D.The efficiency f e-fuels is lwer in pwering cars.
31.What is the authr’s attitude twards e-fuels?
A.Psitive.B.Scared.C.Objective.D.Dubtful.

Curisity is a familiar feeling amng peple. But as sn as we examine that feeling, curisity reveals itself t be a cmplex emtin indeed. Just ask yurself: Is curisity a psitive feeling r a negative feeling? Is it mre like frustratin(挫败)r mre like hpe? Is it a painful reminder f what we dn’t(yet)knw, r an exciting signal twards what we might sn discver?
Actually, curisity can be all f these things. But the bject f curisity’s desire is infrmatin. Of curse, nt all feelings f curisity are the same. Curisity can be mre r less pleasurable, mre r less aggravating. S what accunts fr this variatin (变化)?
Once we recgnize that curisity has many faces, we can cnsider what affects the nature f ur experience in a given case. The paper by Nrdewier des just this fr the dimensin f time. The researchers ask: Is the experience f curisity mre likely t be psitive when we expect that ur curisity will be satisfied sner rather than later?
T answer this questin, the researchers cnducted three studies with ver 200 participants. In each study, the researchers first stimulated (刺激) a state f curisity by telling peple that they wuld later watch a vide that cntained “smething with different shades f brwn.” Half the peple were tld they wuld watch the vide after a shrt delay f nly ne minute, and half were tld that there wuld first be a 30-minute delay during which they wuld cmplete ther tasks.
The key finding was that while bth grups reprted equal levels f curisity, the curisity was accmpanied by mre negative feelings fr thse participants facing a lng versus a shrt delay. The finding cast light n the tw faces f curisity. When ur curisity will nt be satisfied anytime sn, we fcus n nt knwing, n the infrmatin gap itself, which is largely sick. But when ur curisity is abut t be satisfied, we fcus n almst knwing, r the expected settlement, which is a mre psitive experience. On this view, the tw faces f curisity reflect different mixtures f nt knwing versus almst knwing.
32.Why d peple have curisity?
A.T get pleasure.B.T becme psitive.
C.T get infrmatin.D.T becme hpeful.
33.What des the underlined wrd “aggravating” in paragraph 2 mean?
A.Jyful.B.Unpleasant.C.Exciting.D.Frightening.
34.Why did researchers cnduct the experiment?
A.T satisfy the curisity f the public.
B.T prve their previus assumptins.
C.T recgnize the different faces f curisity.
D.T study hw time affects curisity experience.
35.What is the main idea f the text?
A.Curisity is a cmmn emtin.
B.Curisity is a psitive mtivatr.
C.Curisity can be a psitive r negative feeling.
D.Curisity can be satisfied by cmpleting tasks.
