    教学目标
    本课为本单元的第七课时,核心目标是给未来的自己写一封 90-110 词的信,并且在写作中要运用具体事例作为支撑细节。
    设计思路
    本课为本单元的第七课时,旨在引导学生通过模仿范文,给未来的自己写一封信,并在信中运用相关的具体事例作为支撑细节。首先,教师引导学生阅读高中学生Xu Wen 写给三年后自己的信,并引导学生发现支撑细节的事例,然后进一步分析支撑细节一般有哪些共性特征。其次,教师总结写作策略,引导学生通过先写 general statement, 再围绕其构思 supprting details 的结构, 让学生在头脑中形成基本框架,并领悟到概括句和支撑细节之间的紧密联系。最后,引导学生仿写课本范文,完成书信写作任务。
    教学重难点
    如何运用相关的事例作为概括句的支撑细节。

    Prcedures:
    I. Read and analyze the sample writing
    Interactive activity 1: Reading the letter t get the main idea and find supprting details.
    *T: Ask Ss t read Xu Wen’s letter t her future self and help them figure ut why she did s.
    *Ss: Read Xu Wen’s letter t her future self and figure ut what she mainly wrte abut in this letter.
    *T: Ask Ss t underline the sentences used as supprting details.
    *Ss: Read the letter again and underline the sentences used as supprting details.
    *Purpse: T let students get a main idea f the sample letter and lay a fundatin fr learning the writing strategy.

    What examples are used as supprting details?
    *T: Ask Ss t read tw sentences and decide which ne is mre effective as supprting details.
    *Ss: Read the tw sentences and tell which is mre effective as supprting details.
