The researchers carried ut their studies at six sites acrss suthwest Virginia, USA, acrss fur breeding (繁殖) seasns. They fund that the high survival rate f their chicks was subject t many factrs. Nt nly did male sparrws visit their nests mre ften, but they als began feeding chicks earlier in the day. Despite the challenges f being a city bird, hatching success was bserved t be higher in urban habitats.
