The Simple Present (一般现在时) 的意义
1. 表示目前阶段经常发生的动作或存在的状态。She keeps a diary every day. (动作) I enjy learning abut different places in the wrld. (状态) 2. 表示客观真理。The Sun rises in the east. The Earth ges arund the Sun.
Jack is an 8-year-ld student in the UK. Read abut his daily life and pay attentin t the wrds in bld and the underlined adverbs and adverbial phrase.
The simple present
We use the simple present t talk abut regular actins.
Jack lives in Suthamptn in the UK. He usually gets up at 7:45 a.m. He ften meets his fdriends at 8:15 a.m. and walks t schl with them. Schl always starts at 9:00 a.m. and finishes at 3:30 p.m. Every Mnday, Jack takes part in after-schl club activities. Back hme, Jack des his hmewrk. He and his parents usually have dinner arund 7:00 p.m. They seldm eat ut. Jack manages his time well. He never ges t bed late!

In statements, we add -s r -es t verbs after he / she / it. In questins, we use d befre I / yu / we / they and des befre he / she / it. We use adverbs and adverbial phrases f frequency t talk abut hw ften things happen.

(1) 大部分动词直接在词尾加-s，如：clean—cleans，visit—visits，在元音和浊辅音后发/z/，在清辅音后发/s/。 play—plays /z/ visit—visits /s/(2) 以-ss, -zz, -ch, -sh或-x结尾的动词，加-es，如：catch—catches, push—pushes, pass—passes, mix—mixes，-es发/iz/。watch—watches /iz/ discuss—discusses /iz/
动词在第三人称单数(he/she/it)后的变化规则：
Tips：清清浊浊元也浊
一些动词的单数第三人称变化是不规则的，如：be—is, have—has, d—des, g—ges
(3)以“辅音字母+y”结尾的动词，变y为 i，加-es，如：cry—cries, fly—flies, study—studies，-ies发/iz/。study—studies /iz/ carry—carries /iz/注意：以“元音字母+y”结尾的动词，直接加-s，如：enjy—enjys, play—plays
