I walked past number 62, s assumed it was the next ne, which appeared t have n number. Yu see, usually the dd numbers are n ne side f the street, the even numbers n the ther.
    I walked quickly up the driveway t the frnt dr. It was very dark t and there were n lights n inside the huse, which did seem strange. Hwever, I was getting drenched (湿透的)and wanted t get inside! I rang the bell, but nbdy came, s I rang and kncked again. Then I nticed there was huse number after all. A ridiculus small ne that said 63. There was a sudden thud (呯的一声) inside the apparently empty huse, and a mment later the frnt dr pened vilently.
    A hded (戴兜帽的) man with a beard and blue glasses hurried past me and ran int the street. There was a shut frm inside: “Wait fr me, Rb!” Anther man rushed ut, but he drpped what he was carrying and tripped n the drstep. The ther man shuted frm the rad “C'mn, Kev!” he picked himself up and lked at me befre racing after his friend.
