STORY IN CHINA
Gun (鲧) was the leader f a tribe (部落). He lved his peple and always tried his best t prtect them. Once, a big fld came and destryed everything. Since he was the leader, Gun went t fight the fld.
He tried t stp the water by building a dam (大坝). But there weren’t enugh stnes and sil t use. After knwing that Tiandi (天帝) had sme magic sil called xirang (息壤), which culd grw by itself and becme very hard in the water, Gun decided t steal it.
