New discveries at the Sanxingdui Ruins site in Guanghan, Sichuan Prvince drew the wrld’s attentin. On March 20, Chinese archaclgists (考古学家) annunced that they had fund mre than 500 cultural relics (文物) in six new pits at the site, dating back abut 3,000 years.
S far, archaelgists have unearthed (发掘) different imprtant cultural relics frm fur f the pits, including pieces f gld masks, gld fil (箔),brnze masks, brnze trees and large numbers f ivries. In 1986, a large number f cultural relics were discvered in N.1 and N.2 pits.
