In middle schl, I was ne f the “gifted” kids. Fr thse three shrt years, I felt like I was n tp f the wrld.
Then high schl began. All f a sudden, I was n lnger at the tp f my class. My papers were filled with crrectins, nt praise.
My parents didn’t understand. Frm what they had knwn abut me when I was yunger, they thught that I was perfect, and s I had t be perfect all the time.
