    Scientists tested the effects f new PVC pellets (聚氯乙烯颗粒) n the develpment f seven species, spanning all majr grups f marine animals. They fund expsure t high cncentratins f PVC pellets prevented healthy develpment in all seven species.
    The study, by an internatinal team led by the Stazine Zlgica Antn. Dhrn di Napli (SZN) and the University f Exeter, highlights the “ptentially catastrphic effects” f rising levels f plastic in the cean.
    “When expsed t high levels f new PVC pellets, the species we examined went wrng in different ways,” said the first authr Dr. Jimenez-Guri. “Sme failed t make a shell; sme failed t frm prper bilateral (两侧的) features; sme just stpped develping after a few runds f cell divisin.
