Is art bring? It’s nt, really. I dn’t think s, at least. But there’s a prblem with hw we lk at art, hw we apprach it.
Museums are frmal and strangely dry. There’s n embrace. Barriers prevent us frm leaving the path set by the curatr (馆长). Glass traps the paintings permanently in their frames – an invisible barrier that prevents us frm ever getting clse t the art, frm tuching it, feeling it. Guides and guards are cnstantly bserving us, stpping us frm taking phts, r using selfie sticks, r talking t lud. Museums have t many rules. And they’ve made ur art bring.
We shuld be able t see art, t smetimes tuch it. Hw can we feel any cnnectin t the wrld? Art is a way t cnnect t the wrld, and yet s much f ur art (and it is ur art, nt theirs, nt yurs — but urs) is unreachable.
Why can’t we laugh in museums? Why can’t we take silly selfies in frnt f art, ur tngues sticking ut, ur hands in the air? Art is nt bring and yet, we as a sciety, have made it s. We’ve trapped incredible artists behind glass bxes, with randm rules gverning nise levels, lights, flashes, sunds, phts, selfies, pens & pencils.
I lve art. I think it has this incredible pwer t change ur wrld. It can mve us — as individuals, r as a cllective sciety. Art is s ften a windw t smething else. And yet we’ve allwed museums and galleries and cllectrs t prevent us frm ever pening thse windws.
Dn’t get me wrng. I enjy art museums. There are many fantastic nes arund the wrld. And withut s many wnderful curatrs and cllectrs, we wuldn’t be able t enjy much f the art that is created -the masterpieces and the newer, mre cntemprary (and smetimes crazy) art. But at the same time, we’ ve allwed museums t much cntrl.
They’ve taken ur art. They’ve cntrlled ur wrld. And ur wrld, ur art — it’s nt meant t be cntrlled. It’s meant t be experienced — hwever that may be. It’s an individual, persnal chice. Let’s take back ur art, ur museums. And take sme selfies.
    8. Accrding t the writer, hw may visitrs t museums feel?
    A. Interested.B. Unwelcme.C. Excited.D. Ashamed.
    9. What can we infer frm paragraph 5?
    A. The writer believes that art shuld never be kept in museums.
    B. The writer is lsing his lve f art due t museums’ plicies.
    C. The writer believes museums are taking away the pwer f art.
    D. The writer believes that art shuld be replaced by smething else.
    10. What des the underlined phrase “get me wrng” in paragraph 6 mean?
    A. Help me.B. Cntrl me.C. Misunderstand me.D. Frighten me.
    11. Which f the fllwing statements wuld the writer agree with?
    A. All f us can create art.B. Museums are f little use.
    C. Admissin t museums shuld be free.D. Museums shuld give visitrs mre freedm.
    D

C The writer believes museums are taking away the pwer f art.
    【答案】8. B 9. C 10. C 11. D

    【8题详解】
推理判断题。根据第二段的“There’s n embrace. 【10题详解】
词句猜测题。结合上文及第五段的“And yet we’ve allwed museums and galleries and cllectrs t prevent us frm ever pening thse windws.(然而,我们却允许博物馆、画廊和收藏家阻止我们打开这些窗户。)”和下文的“I enjy art museums.”可知,此处作者想要表达“不要误会我”,虽然博物馆的一些做法作者不赞同,但不是说作者不喜欢博物馆。get me wrng意为misunderstand me(误会我)。故选C。
    【11题详解】
推理判断题。结合全文内容,根据第二段的“Barriers prevent us frm leaving the path set by the curatr (馆长). have t many rules. (障碍阻止我们离开馆长设置的路径,博物馆有太多的规则。)”和最后一段的“Let’s take back ur art, ur museums. And take sme selfies(让我们拿回我们的艺术,我们的博物馆。自拍一下)”可知,作者认为博物馆限制了我们太多的欣赏艺术的自由,因此,选项D“博物馆应该给游客更多的自由”是作者赞同的。故选D。
