Sme bacteria(细菌)have a superpwer that scientists wuld lve t use. These bacteria gain energy frm light, just as plants d.Scientists have wanted t use cyanbacteria(蓝藻菌)t make electricity. But in previus research, they didn’t survive lng n artificial surfaces. Researchers have nw mved them t a living surface — a mushrm. Their creatin is the first mushrm t make electricity.
Applied Physicist Simn Jacksn and his team turned that mushrm int a mini energy farm. This binic(生物电子的)mushrm cmbines 3D printing, cnductive ink and bacteria t generate electricity. Its design culd lead t new ways f cmbining nature with electrnics.
Like plants, cyanbacteria make their wn fd frm sunlight, releasing electrns(电子). When enugh electrns build up in ne place, they can create an electric current.
The researchers needed t bring a lt f these bacteria tgether. They decided t use 3D printing t place them precisely nt a surface.Jacksn’s team chse mushrms fr that surface. After all, they realized, mushrms naturally hst cmmunities f bacteria and ther micrbes. Finding test subjects fr their tests was easy. Jacksn simply went t the grcery stre and picked up white buttn mushrms.
Printing n thse mushrms, thugh, turned ut t be a real challenge. 3D printers have been designed t print n flat surfaces, but mushrm caps are curved. The researchers spent mnths writing cmputer cde t slve the prblem. Eventually, they came up with a prgram t 3D print their ink nt the curved mushrm tps.
The researchers printed tw“inks”nt their mushrms. One was a green ink made f cyanbacteria. They used this t make a spiral pattern n the cap. They als used a black ink made f graphene, which is great at cnducting electricity. They printed this ink in a branching pattern acrss the mushrm tp.
Then it was time t shine.
“Cyanbacteria are the real heres here,”says Jacksn. When his team shne light n the mushrms, the bacteria gave ut electrns. Thse electrns flwed int the graphene and created an electric current.
32.What was the prblem in previus research?
    A.Cyanbacteria didn’t prduce electrns.B.Cyanbacteria culdn’t get enugh light.
C.The researchers chse the wrng bacteria.D.N suitable hme was made fr cyanbacteria.
33.Why were mushrms finally chsen as test subjects?
A.They are cnvenient t find.B.They can prduce electric currents.
C.They are where bacteria can naturally grw.D.They can be easily cmbined with 3D printing.
34.What is the majr functin f the black ink in this test?
    A.T feed bacteria.B.T deliver electrns.
C.T prduce electricity.D.T reshape mushrm tps.
35.Which f the fllwing is a suitable title fr the text?
    A.Wh are the real heres?B.New applicatin f 3D printing
C.Nature cmbined with electrnsD.Binic mushrm makes electricity
