    As part f the prject t explain the spken accent develpment, a grup f researchers led by Jnathan Harringtn, prfessr f phnetics and speech prcessing at the Ludwig-Maximilian University f Munich, started the study. The researchers studied a grup f 11 scientists spending six mnths n an island just west f the Antarctic Peninsula.
    The scientists were frm several cuntries, including the US, the UK, Iceland and Germany.
