Walking n stilts(高跷)is a ppular traditinal perfrmance in China. It is usually perfrmed by stilt walkers. They have tw lng stilts tied t their feet, making them taller than everyne else arund them. Generally, they dress up as lively characters frm a Chinese fairy tale r histrical stry. With traditinal music, the perfrmance is especially a jy fr children and their families.
The perfrmance dates back t ancient times. In the Han Dynasty, stilts skill started t becme ppular amng the public. After that, stilts dance was als used in the Tang-Dynasty.
