问题与不足：学生对于语篇衔接词意识淡薄。
发展路径：培养学生在阅读篇章中辨识语篇衔接词，并且分清不同语篇衔接词的功能。并且在单元的口头和书面输出中使用一定的语篇衔接词。

教学反思与困惑
在教学设计中反复阅读了单元整体教学理论的相关文章，非常欣赏这种理念，但是践行起来感觉依然比较吃力，看来从理论到实践的过程是艰难的。在此我有个问题比较困惑：高中阶段学生的精力有限，时间有限，30万字的阅读量很难通过课文阅读实现。那么相应的课外精泛读活动如何展开比较好？是例如名著类的整本书阅读还是杂志报纸类的比较适合？

I’ve always wanted t g and see Niagra Falls near Ontari; well actually it’s n the brder f Canada and the USA. There are three big waterfalls there and I remember seeing them in a dcumentary in TV when I was yunger and I thught it was very impressive. It was my first impressin f Canada.
I remember watching a bat d a tur f the Falls and it lked amazing as the peple went really clse t the waterfalls and the nise was incredible.
I’m planning t g with my friend. In fact we hpe t g there next year because we have a plan t study English in Canada fr a year and we’d lve t visit Niagra Falls and lts f ther places while we’re in Canada.
At the mment we’re researching pssible schls t study at and all the different curses available but hpefully by the summer we’ll have made ur final decisin and rganized ur visas and everything s that we can g and live in Canada and imprve ur English. I think I might like t live there in the future.

Everybdy is different and they have their wn preferences. As far as I’m cncerned, either way, it has its prs and cns and ne way is nt better than the ther. Sme peple say that traveling alne is unsafe and that they wuld never d it. I, n the ther hand, disagree because traveling in a small r large grup can be dangerus t. Yes, I agree it can be mre dangerus traveling sl smetimes, but ne has t take precautins like nt walking dark streets alne at night, hitching a ride with a stranger, r staying in high-risk neighbrhds. The same ges when traveling in a larger grup.
What makes a turist attractin ppular?
I never cnsidered this questin befre. I need sme time t think a little……umm. I believe it has t d with what the place ffers. Fr instance, take Machu Picchu in Peru. Thusands f peple all ver the wrld travel there because f its histrical backgrund f being the “Lst City f the Incas”. In additin, it has breathtaking views and ancient ruins. Nw take the hly city f Mecca in Saudi Arabia. Thusands f peple pilgrimage there every year fr religius reasns. I’m sure there are ther mtives that make a place a turist trap, but these were the nly nes I culd think f
What are the advantages and disadvantages f ging n a vacatin/hliday during lw seasn?
Right ff the bat, It’s definitely advantageus t g n vacatin during the nn-peak seasn because the csts fr plane tickets, accmmdatins, and tur packages are less expensive. Hwever, the weather may wreck havc n yur travel plans. I remember ging t the beach ne year during the lw seasn and it rained almst every day. Anther dwnside is that the lcal businesses might nt be perating due t a lt fewer vacatiners. Speaking fr myself, I prefer t g n vacatin during lw seasn t avid the crwds and high prices. I can find activities t d even when businesses are clsed fr the seasn.
