    On an rdinary fssil-hunting (化石搜寻) uting, the members f the Hamiltn Junir Naturalist Club might expect t find a few interesting shells (壳). But n a 2006 trip t Kawhia Harbur in New Zealand’s Nrth Island, the students discvered the bnes f a fssilized huge penguin (企鹅).

It is similar t Kairuku penguins but with lnger legs. Researchers named it “Kairuku waewaera” fr this characteristic.
