This discvery, published in the jurnal Scientific Reprts, thrws new light n cats’ cgnitive abilities and their ptential fr understanding human language.
The team designed an experiment t test cats’ ability t frm picture-wrd assciatins. The study invlved 31 adult huse cats and applied a methdlgy similar t thse used in baby language develpment research. In the experiment, cats were shwn shrt vides paired with nnsensical wrds (“keraru” and “parum”).These vides were played repeatedly until the cats lked away.
