    In abut a week I will start ne f my mst expected adventures ever. Sarek Natinal Park will be a missin: It is nt a place fr the unprepared. It is a place fr adventurus hearts wh are lking fr slitude (独处), wildness and a cnnectin with nature that is hard t find n ur planet these days. High up in the nrth f Sweden at the brder with Nrway, it is called the last Eurpean Wilderness.
    The preparatin fr this trip started a few mnths ag. I tried t prepare in the best way pssible as this is uncharted territry fr me. It will be the first hike really ff the beaten path. I will nt g int details until I get back and actually knw what I am talking abut.
    There are a few things t keep in mind when yu plan t hike in Sarek Natinal Park. First f all, there are n huts (棚屋) r any accmmdatin. If yu are at the heart f Sarek yu will be at least a 4-5 days hike away frm the next muntain hut. S this means I will have t carry everything I need fr 8-10 days. The biggest part f the lad will be fd. There are n paths r waymarks. I will have t make my wn rute with GPS and maps.

    Watching the behaviur and bdy language f z animals culd be the key t understanding and imprving their welfare, new research suggests. Traditinally, zs have fcused n mre straightfrward measures such as whether animals are eating and sleeping.
    The new review, by the University f Exeter and the University f Winchester, says zs have made great imprvements in recent years, but clser bservatin f animal behaviur - a methd called Qualitative Behaviural Assessment, develped in farming - culd shw even mre abut their state f mind.
    An animal’s psitining f its bdy, facial mvements and activity levels are amng the things that might tell whether it is excited, calm, interested, nervus, relaxed, etc.
    “Zkeepers are knwledgeable abut their animals, and they will ften recgnise an animal’s state f mind by its behaviur and bdy language,” said Dr. Paul Rse, f the University f Exeter.
    “What we are suggesting is a mre scientific methd f this, carried ut ver time.
    “Certain behaviurs will shw certain mds (情绪) in an animal, and we shuld build ur knwledge f this fr different animals that live in zs. Fr example, lins have a lt f facial expressins, and research n these expressins culd help zs understand the animals’ state f mind. This infrmatin culd then be used t imprve welfare by changing diets, feeding times r any number f ther aspects f the way animals are kept.”
    Dr. Rse carries ut much f his research at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre, and is nw examining hw the swans (天鹅) there might shw their state f mind thrugh their behaviural expressin.
