SUMMER SKIN CARE—RIGHT OR WRONG?
In summer everybdy needs t be careful with the sun. D yu knw hw t spend time in the sun withut burning r damaging yur skin? Read the ten rules belw. Sme f them are RIGHT and the thers are WRONG.
1. Always wear a baseball cap. It prtects yu frm the sun and lks cl, t.
WRONG Yu need t wear a hat, but chse yur hat carefully. Baseball caps prtect yur eyes, but they dn’t prtect yur ears r yur neck. Use a prper sun hat.
6. Yu need t use the sun cream even n a cludy day in summer.
RIGHT The sun can damage yur skin even n a cludy day.
2 Use sun cream(防晒霜). Yu need t put it n at least twenty minutes befre yu g ut.
RIGHT Sun cream starts t wrk twenty minutes after yu put it n.
7. On a ht sunny day, wear light-clred clthes-white r yellw are best.
WRONG Light-clred clthes dn’t prtect yu frm the sun. The best slutin is t wear dark-clred clthes.
3. Put sun cream arund yur eyes and n yur eyelids t prtect them frm the sun.
WRONG Sun cream hurts the eyes. Wear sunglasses instead.
8. Yu need t spend time in the sun fr healthy skin.
RIGHT Yu need t spend time in the sun t get enugh vitamin D fr healthy skin and bnes(骨头), but dn’t frget t use sun cream. Withut sun cream yu have a bigger risk f skin cancer.
4. Yu nly need a little sun cream. T much sun cream is bad fr yur skin.
WRONG Yu need t use a lt f sun cream. The sun dries ut yur skin. Sun cream misturizes(滋润)and prtects it.
9. Yu need t spend a lt f mney t get a gd sun cream.
WRONG There are many different kinds f sun cream. Find the ne that is best fr yu. Expensive nes are nt always better than cheap nes. Use a sun cream labeled(标明)SPF30+ and it shuld give yu the same prtectin as ne that is mre expensive.
5. Put mre sun cream n every tw hurs.
RIGHT Yu need t put sun cream n ften, especially when yu’re swimming.
10. In summer, peple with dark skin can als get burnt.
