根据文章第一段中“Parents d nt we (欠) their children a cllege they needn’t feel guilty if they can’t.”
根据“If they want t d it, it must be cnsidered a favr, nt an bligatin.”如果他们想这样做,就必须把它看作一种恩惠,而不是义务, 这一句中的“favr”意为“恩惠、帮忙”相反意思应为“义务、责任”,所以可以判断“bligatin”应是“义务”之意,同时“bligatin”和前一句“They d nt have the duty t lk after their grandchildren, either.”
    26. 细节理解题,从本文第三段第三句的“Of curse they shuld be prperly crrected when they d wrng, but it’s ften better t let children learn their mistakes by themselves in time.”
文章第一段“Parents d nt we (欠) their children a cllege educatin...”从父母送子女上大学,帮忙买房子或照看孙辈等琐事引入主题,说明这些并不是父母真正的职责,根据第三段第一句“One f their bligatins is t give their children a persnal wrth.” 他们的义务之一是给孩子们个人的价值和倒数第一段“Parents we their children a set f slid values arund which t build their lives.” 故选A。

A preliminary (初步的) study was cnducted by the Swiss Institute InnSuisee, but mre research is needed befre it can be definitively shwn that the system imprves reading. Sme peple with ADHD (多动症) prve that Binic Reading helped them fcus and cmprehend what they are reading. Other peple dn’t seem t ntice a big difference cmpared t regular text. There’s als n evidence t suggest Binic Reading is any better than regular text. The best way t knw if the Binic Reader helps yu read better nline is t try it yurself.

    A. T pint ut peple’s reading prblems.B. T teach peple necessary reading skills.

根据文章第一段“Nw a new reading system, Binic Reading, develped by Swiss typgraphic designer Renat Casutt, can help peple vercme these issues, and mst imprtantly, it aims t help peple read faster nline and develp a mre in-depth understanding f written cntent.(现在,瑞士排版设计师雷纳托·卡苏特开发的一种新的阅读系统“仿生阅读”可以帮助人们克服这些问题,最重要的是,它旨在帮助人们更快地在线阅读,并对书面内容有更深入的理解。)”
根据下文“T make it shrt: sme parts f the wrds are displayed in bld (粗体). As a result, the reader nly fcuses n the highlighted letters and lets the brain center cmplete the rest.(简而言之:单词的某些部分以粗体显示。
根据文章第四段“Sme peple with ADHD prve that Binic Reading helped them fcus and cmprehend what they are reading.

One thing that many Americans can agree n, even in an era f deep plitical plarizatin (两极分化), is that ur cuntry is in a mral free fall. In survey after survey, US adults f all ages, educatin levels, plitical r religius backgrunds say that peple are less kind, hnest, generus, and respectful than they used t be. S is ur natin’s mral fundatin falling apart?
Nt necessarily. In fact, tw psychlgists, Clumbia’s Adam Mastrianni and Harvard’s Daniel Gilbert, say that the widespread belief in mral decline (下降) is a miscnceptin. They recently cnducted a meta-analysis f all the majr surveys that asked Americans abut the state f mral values in this cuntry and they fund that US residents have been cmplaining abut ne anther’s declining mrality fr as lng as researchers have been seeking their pinins n the matter. And yet when individual respndents are asked multiple times, ver the span f a decade r mre, t describe the level f pliteness and kindness they bserve in their fellw citizens, their descriptins f ther peple’s attitudes and behavirs d nt actually wrsen at all.

根据第一段“One thing that many Americans can agree n, even in an era f deep plitical plarizatin (两极分化), is that ur cuntry is in a mral free fall. In survey after survey, US adults f all ages, educatin levels, plitical r religius backgrunds say that peple are less kind, hnest, generus, and respectful than they used t be. S is ur natin’s mral fundatin falling apart?”
In fact, tw psychlgists, Clumbia’s Adam Mastrianni and Harvard’s Daniel Gilbert, say that the widespread belief in mral decline (下降) is a miscnceptin.”(不一定。
根据第三段中“They say that this miscnceptin is likely explained by tw well-established psychlgical phenmena acting tgether: that we tend t pay clser attentin t negative rather than psitive infrmatin abut peple’s actins in the present day; and that we tend t selectively frget such negative impressins as the years rll n, leaving us with gd memries fr the past.”(他们说,这种误解可能是由两种公认的心理现象共同作用来解释的:我们倾向于更关注当下人们行为的负面信息,而不是正面信息;随着岁月的流逝,我们往往会选择性地忘记这些负面印象,给过去留下美好的回忆。)
根据最后一段“Mastrianni and Gilbert als say that their discvery has imprtant scial and plitical implicatins, especially given that, as ne 2015 survey fund, three-quarters f all Americans believe that addressing the mral breakdwn f the cuntry shuld be a high pririty (优先项) fr the gvernment. “The United States faces many well-dcumented prblems, frm climate change and terrrism t racial injustice and ecnmic inequality — and yet, nwadays it is believed that the gvernment shuld devte fewer resurces t reversing an imaginary trend.””(马斯楚安尼和吉尔伯特还表示,他们的发现具有重要的社会和政治意义,尤其是考虑到2015年的一项调查发现,四分之三的美国人认为解决国家道德崩溃问题应该是政府的首要任务。
