But their misuse and veruse have cntributed t the emergence f bacteria which carry genes that enable them t resist the killing pwer f antibitics. This results in infectins that are much harder t treat. Antibitic resistance mainly spreads t humans thrugh plluted fd r water.
    [3] But a recent study suggests this isn’t the nly way resistant bacteria can spread. Accrding t researchers frm China and the UK, air pllutin may als be spreading antibitic resistance. This is the first study t cmprehensively estimate the link between increased antibitic resistance and air pllutin glbally. They lked at 12 research studies cnducted acrss 116 cuntries. These studies estimated the amplificatin f antibitic resistant bacteria r genes in the atmsphere.
