Phtgraphy is using phts t create art t make smething beautiful t create a stry. The camera was used t capture mments in histry. When it was first invented in the 1800s, Jseph Nic éphre Ni é pce was the first persn t take phts t capture the wrld’s beauty.
The camera shws a different view f the wrld t me by shwing the true clrs f when and hw there will always be the gd and bad in the wrld. It is imprtant t me, because it helps bring back the histry f the past. Next thing is that back then the camera helped shw art by using phts t create feelings f nstalgia (怀旧) and purpse. If we had n phtgraphy then there wuld be less knwledge abut the histry f the past.
When I was a yung girl, my family wuld take pictures t recrd the memries whether they were the gd r bad. In ur family, valuable phts are cnsidered a treasure passed dwn frm ne generatin t the next. My strng lve fr phtgraphy was frm my uncle wh was a phtgrapher and I lved lking at his pictures. Later, I take pictures t shw a meaning thrugh the phts t fllw in his ftsteps.
We are n a timeline, and phts can help freeze mments n the timeline. Tday peple are using phts t create a timeline fr their future by putting them in a pht album(相册) r psting them n scial media, which can help them remember what happened in the past.

Researchers frm the Yale Child Study Center cllected 21 days f daily diaries frm parents and teens frm 151 families. Participating teens were in the 9th and 10th grades, and ranged frm 13 t 16 years ld. Slightly mre female teens participated. By analyzing these diaries, the researchers culd cnnect parents’ displays f warmth with daily fluctuatins (变动) in hw lved their teens were feeling. “The daily methdlgy is suited t prviding caregivers with practical suggestins fr daily life,” says Beata Ujvari, wh was nt invlved in the study.
Regardless f the general clseness f the parent-teen relatinship, the researchers fund that teens reprted feeling mre lved n days when parents reprted shwing mre warmth in the frm f affectin, understanding, r praise. Likewise, teens reprted feeling less lved n days when parents reprted mre cnflicts than usual. Mre imprtantly, the researchers als fund that parents culd weaken the impact f cnflicts by shwing their teens warmth. In their wrds, n days when parents were warm, high levels f cnflicts didn’t reduce hw lved teens felt.
T weaken cnflicts’ impact, warmth had t be shwn n the same day, but the warmth and cnflicts did nt need t be related, the researchers said.
“Parents ften cmplain abut the cnflicts they are experiencing with their children,” said Jhn Cffey, the study’s lead authr, “but ur study suggests cnflicts are manageable.”
The study adds t a grwing bdy f evidence suggesting daily fluctuatins in feeling lved are cmmn even in lng-term relatinships. Hw parents and teens cmmunicate and reslve cnflicts may be mst imprtant t maintaining a healthy relatinship in the lng term, said the researchers.
“The study findings are particularly useful right nw,” added Cffey, “because parents and their children are spending much time tgether. Finding ways t be kind and warm will help lessen ptential cnflicts and ensure children feel lved.”

C By shwing understanding related t the cnflicts.
    D. By expressing agreement n what whatever ever their teens say.
    11. In which sectin f a newspaper may this text appear?
    A. Life.B. Science.C. Culture.D. Educatin.

Virtual (虚拟的) reality (VR) was just an idea in the past but nw it is becming mre and mre a reality. Researchers have predictins that shw virtual reality will make a great difference t ur sciety. In the same way that the smartphne changed ur lives, virtual reality may be set t d the same.
Virtual reality changes hw we view technlgy. Until nw technlgy has always been smething that we have viewed but never been truly immersed in (沉浸其中). Virtual reality has the pwer t change that. There will cme a time when we sit n a VR chair r step inside a VR rm, put n a VR device (设备), and enter a ttally different wrld. The technlgy is largely available already, s with further advances taking place we culd be abut t enter entirely different wrlds.
Tday the bvius applicatin f virtual reality is gaming but there are many mre applicatins as well. In business, virtual reality culd be used t imprve cmmunicatins. Many cmpanies have t pay a lt fr sending their team t different places. As wrldwide business cntinues, it is increasingly imprtant fr teams in different areas f the wrld t wrk tgether. Althugh the vide meeting slutins have been a success, they are just nt as gd as the real thing. Virtual reality can ffer an experience as gd as the real thing withut any f the expense f travel.
While the virtual reality technlgy is still being develped we are nt far away frm a truly immersive experience. Within the next ten years, a slutin will be in place, which will be s believable that peple will be unable t tell the difference between it and reality. In time the cst will reduce as well, making it pssible t have a VR experience in every hme and business.
    12. Why is the smartphne mentined in the first paragraph?
    A. T shw the ppularity f virtual reality.
    B. T praise the develpment f virtual reality.
    C. T state peple’s anxieties in terms f virtual reality.
    D. T explain the influence f virtual reality n peple’s lives.
    13. In which way is virtual reality technlgy different frm the traditinal technlgy?
A It reduces the need fr the cmmunicatin.
    B. It can prvide an immersive experience.
    C. It is applied t gaming and business.
    D. It is mre cnvenient t perate.
    14. What des the underlined wrd “expense” mean in the third paragraph?
    A. Tiredness.B. Schedule.C. Stress.D. Cst.
    15. What can we expect f the virtual reality technlgy?
    A. It will help reduce technlgy csts
    B. It will take peple away frm reality.
    C. It will be widely used in peple’s lives.
    D. It will take the place f ther technlgies.
