Have yu ever cunted the number f digits (数字) in yur mbile phne number? Yur number has 11 digits. Yu may smetimes find it hard t remember yur number. That's because China has the lngest mbile phne numbers in the wrld. Why is that?
The 11 digits can be divided int three parts. Each part has a different meaning. The first three digits tell yu which mbile phne service prvider yu are using. Fr example, 135 is fr China Mbile and 186 is fr China Unicm.The furth t the seventh digits tell yu where the number is registered (注册). And the last fur digits are randm (随机的).
The main reasn fr using 11 digits is that we have the largest ppulatin in the wrld. We nce had 10 numbers. But as ur ppulatin grew, there were nt enugh numbers fr us t use.
