能够掌握字母组合u, w, ph 及辅音字母p的读音及读音规则;
能识别出相同字母或字母组合的不同读音;
能够正确使用be动词的一般过去时was/ were,如:
—When were yu/was he/she brn?
—I/He/She was brn in January, 1999.

2.Pint ut the prnunciatin f “u” and let students read after the teacher fr several times. Then ask students t find ut the rule f the prnunciatin f “u”. Finally, play the tape and let students fllw it.
3.Let students lk at the wrds first. Then listen and finish 3b. Finally play the tape again and check the answers with students.
