教学目标
1. Use the Internet and the tools to search the information.
2. Create the students interests in learning English.

2. Name the main countries in Asia. What are in the main cities in the countries?

audiotape, flashcards, a map of the world
教学过程
Step 1. Leading-in
Step 2. Come to “Think About It”
What do you know about body language?
Do you use body language? When and where?
Ask the students to read the text quickly , and learn about body language is not the same in all cultures.

Step 3. Read the text again
Step 4. Listen to the tape , and follow to read loudly.
Step 5. Language points.
1. In China and abroad ,people sometimes communicate without speaking.
在中国和国外,人们有的时候并不通过说话来沟通。
communicate vi. “交流,沟通”常用词组communicate with sb. “与某人交流”
communication n. “交流”
2. In China and some other countries, friends shake hands to greet each other .
在中国和其他一些国家,朋友们通过握手来问候对方。
shake hands “握手”
We often shake hands when we meet each other. 当我们彼此相遇时经常握手。
greet v. “向……打招呼”“问候,迎接,欢迎”
He greeted her by saying“Good morning”! 他向她打招呼,说“早上好”。
3.When Italians wave goodbye, it may look like “come here!”to Americans.
当意大利人摆手再见时,对美国人来说可能看起来像“来这儿!”。

wave vi. “要摆,起伏,回收,挥舞”

Step 6. Discus the text.
Discuss the text with the class, ask the class to retell the main ideas of the text. Make sure the students know the six main points ,(the six questions introducing each paragraph) ,discussed in the text. First, ask each group to talk feely, then choose one or two students to give a report in front of the class
