教学过程

Step 1 Lead in

Showing a picture of a man without half of his right arm, and ask:

T: Who is he?

S: He is… (Aron Ralston)

T: What does he do?

S: He is … (a mountain climber)

T: From this picture, we know that he lost half of his right arm. But what happened to him? Let’s share an article “He lost his arm, but he is still climbing.”

Step 2 Show learning goals.

1. Master the words, phrased and expressions in2a-2e.

2. Learn to find the orders of events.

3. Practice the reading and writing skills.

Step 3 Investigate

1. Play the tape. Listen to the tape and read the passage by yourself. Find out the answer of those following questions.

2. Groupwork. Discuss the questions that students can’t work out by themselves.

Step4 Presentation

1. The key words.
