"But the cllectin f infrmatin and hw it is used in these situatins must be clarified and disclsed t the infrmatin prviders t prtect and ensure infrmatin safety," said Wang Ruihe, directr f the Ecnmic Law Department frm the NPC Standing Cmmittee's Legislative Affairs Cmmissin. He stressed the requirement in February, adding that his department has planned t slicit pinins abut the draft frm peple f mre walks f life t amend and imprve it.
Persnal infrmatin prtectin has als arused attentin amng deputies t the NPC, "as it's clse t everyne's daily lives and interests," said Fu Yuhang, an NPC deputy frm Sichuan prvince.
Befre this year's annual sessin f the NPC, which will pen n Friday, Fu said she will cntinue fllwing the draft law and suggest the tp legislature give strnger legal supprt t persnal infrmatin prtectin amid the utbreak.

They believe that figuring ut hw t regulate internet enterprises t cllect, stre r use persnal infrmatin in line with laws and t effectively ensure infrmatin safety are imprtant and urgent issues, Gu said. He added that sme members frm enterprises pledged t safeguard persnal infrmatin safety by imprving self-regulatin, taking respnsibility and balancing the relatin between prviding infrmatin service and managing infrmatin.
Cai Weiping, an NPC deputy frm Guangzhu, Guangdng prvince, recently tld Guangzhu Daily that prtecting privacy and preventing nline bullying in the cllectin and use f pandemic-related persnal infrmatin is an urgent issue.In his view, sme gvernment agencies respnsible fr preventing the pandemic had gaps in infrmatin management and prtectin that caused infrmatin leaks abut a few patients and their family members and led t secndary damage.
