1. One bject
The bject is mainly put behind the verb. subject—> predicate —> bject is the usual rder, but smetimes it has a free psitin. Fr example:
① The bject can be put in the beginning f a sentence t emphasize it. e.g. What dull, ld-fashined leather shes he’s wearing! Talent, Mike has; patience, he has nt.
② The bject is prepsed fr a better His carelessness had led him int great errr. That errr he determined t crrect. 2 Jack fried tw small pieces f fish. 3 One he fed t his cat, the ther he ate himself.
③ The bject can be prepsed as the insert. e.g. He fund fr the first time the necessity f using it. They saw playing in the garden a grup f children aged frm six t twelve.
④ The bject has tw different psitins behind verb He tried ut the machine./ He tried the machine ut. I’ll put n the radi in a minute. / I’ll put the radi n in a minute.
※ If the nun phrase is a little bit lng, the first psitin is ften She tried n half a dzen pairs f shes befre she fund a suitable ne.※ If the bject is a prnun, the secnd rder must be used.eg: The bed is t strng, and yu can’t break it up.
2. Tw bjects
通常为 “间接宾语+直接宾语” He desn't wn me anything. She asked me whether I had been there befre. I warned yu he wuld be late. Give me it./Give it t me. They tld us where t shp cheaply.
间接宾语后移, 间接宾语用t 或fr 引出: They give it t Jhn. He sld his ld car t ne f his neighburs. I have bught sme chclate fr yu. Give the dictinary t me, please.
用t侧重指动作的方向, 表示朝着, 向着, 对着某人。用fr 侧重指动作的受益者, 表示为了某人, 替某人。常跟双宾语的动词分类总结:
需借助t的: bring, give, lend, hand, ffer, pass, pay, prmise, read, return, send, shw, teach, tell, ask, leave, mail, thrw, take, write,等。需借助fr的: build, buy, call, change, ck, chse, d, draw, envy, fetch, find, frgive, gain, get, make, rder, play (演奏), sing, save, spare, win等。
e.g. 1 Our teacher explains t us the difficult pints in the unit. 2 We disclsed t them the secret f ur inventin. 3 They expressed t their teacher their cnvictin that the experiment was true. 4 The guide is describing the scenic spts t the turists.
e.g. He played me a trick. He played a trick n me. Wn’t yu play sme flk sngs fr us?
Sme verbs have t be used as set phraseswhen fllwed by tw bjects.
有时为了形成对照或是为了突出重点, “介词+间接宾语”也可移到主语的前面去:T his daughter he sent a cheque f $50 but t his sun he sent nly a cheap pen.
如果 “介词+间接宾语”比直接宾语短, 也可以直接放在谓语动词后:He give t his friends much f the time he shuld have given t his wife and children.
一些句子中, “间接宾语+直接宾语”不能变为“直接宾语+介词+间接宾语”: He give the dr a hard kick. I never give the matter a thught. She give him a warm smile. This heric deed cst him his life.
