本课首先让学生对课前视频内容进行讨论,在师生对答中导入本课的重点词汇(disabled, disability; ambitius, ambitin),为学生理解课文作铺垫。紧接着以“Family Village”这一网站为依托,让学生说出这一网站的目的,直接进入本课主题“身残志坚的残疾人”,并在之后的输出环节设置相应任务:在读者反馈(Feedback)栏目进行回帖(结合summary & cmment)。之后通过快速阅读和仔细阅读,分别让学生把握文章的整体结构和掌握快速筛选细节信息的微技能。在文章细节的问题处理上,通过几个问题的引导,帮助学生克服词汇障碍,正确理解和体会Marty的情感变化,并学会捕捉文本中的关键细节来支持自己的观点。 作业布置以网页的形式呈现Nick的事迹,设置新的语境进行词汇、语言的输出。以Family Village这一网站为依托,课堂的小组汇报和课后的笔头作业相结合,有助于学习目标的进一步落实和检测。其中的写作训练(feedback),是课堂口头输出向课外的延伸,是本课教学环节的延续。学生在语言上有所输出,思维认识上有所获得,情感上也得到了升华。
