But the 62-year-ld Clrad attrney died suddenly Mnday after returning t the first camp belw the muntain’s summit. He’s the secnd American t die in the past week after reaching Everest’s highest pint. Fr sme climbers, that traffic has meant lnger wait times — sme tld the Himalayan Times the wait has exceeded tw hurs between the last camp and the peak. Muntaineer Vanessa O’Brien, wh has als climbed the seven summits, said when there’s a crwd, being a mre experienced climber wn’t help yu. “It desn’t matter if yu’re the best racecar driver in the wrld. He urged the gvernments in charge f granting(获得) permits t limit hw many peple can be n the muntain at nce.
Still, Christpher was n beginner. His family said he’d been muntain climbing fr five decades. He arrived at the base camp nearly tw mnths befre his climb s he culd give himself time t adapt t the cnditins. When he made his jurney, his family said he was climbing with a small grup in almst ideal cnditins after sme f the vercrwding had cleared.

Grwing up, I thught math class was smething t be endured, nt enjyed. I disliked memrizing frmulas(公式) and taking tests, all fr the dull gal f getting a gd grade. One f my teachers tld my mther that I was "slw". But my prblem wasn't with math itself. In fact, when a tpic seemed particularly interesting, I wuld g t the library and read mre abut it.

It wasn't easy, but it was fascinating. My prfessr kept giving me prblems, and I kept pursuing them, even thugh I culdn't always slve them immediately. The mathematical research I was ding had little in cmmn with what I did in my high schl classrms. Instead, it was clser t the math and lgic puzzles I did n my wn as a by. It gave me that same sense f wnder and curisity, and it rewarded creativity. I am nw a Ph. D candidate in mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute f Technlgy.

3.We can cnclude that after entering cllege, the writer ______ .
