Hwever, life was hard t get used t. My main prblem was with the language. I failed t understand much in the first few weeks because everyne spke s fast. Thugh I sn managed t get used t it. I still have prblems because they used a lt f idims (习语).
Anther difference was with the fd. My hst family always had bread, ptates and salad fr meals. I really miss the dumplings, rice and delicius dishes frm hme.
Schl was a big shck t. They d nt require students t wear unifrms, s students can wear almst whatever they like. Sme students have strange hairstyles (发型) as well. Sme students even have pink r purple hair!

My dream was t see sme real snw, s during the Christmas hliday, we tk ur passprt and flew ver the Pacific t Calgary, Canada. We tk a bus t a ski resrt in the Canadian Rckies. As the bus climbed thrugh the muntains, we saw the thick snw n the trees. I was dying t get ut and play with it. At last, we reached the resrt and quickly jumped ut f the bus. This was ur first experience with snw. We were like little children --- we made snw balls, and threw them at ne anther. Then we check in at the htel.
The next day, we put n ur ski suits and glves, tk ur skis and went utside nt the snw. Our instructr tk us t a gentle slpe (斜坡), and shwed us sme basic skills. T be hnest, the first lessn was nt a great success. I kept n falling ver, and I had t hld n t a rpe t keep my balance (平衡).
Hwever, the next day, I nly fell ver a few times, and I managed t d a few rapid runs. I felt pleased with myself, and my instructr tld me I was ding much better. Althugh it was very cld, I spent mst f my hliday skiing. I had a wnderful time.
