Step 1: Self-intrductin
The teacher intrduces himself r herself t the class, including Chinese name and English name. Then ask several students t tell them Chinese and English names.
T: D yu have an English name? Hw ld are yu? Where are yu frm?
S:My name is……My English name is Jack. I’m 13 years ld. I’m frm N. 2 middle schl.
Step 2: Presentatin
1. Ask “What’s the time, please?”, and encurage students t answer it.
2. Present a clck, adjust it t a certain place, and ask the students t answer what the time is, and hw t greet at this time.
3. A Game: Divide the students int 4 grups t d the abve activity. Lk which team wins it.
Step 3: Practice
Rle play: 4 students a grup, make a small dialgue abut hw t greet at a certain time.
Step 4: Read and learn
1. Bks pen t page 7
2. Part A, read the dialgue and let the students fllwed.
3. Part B, let the students d B1 individually and then check tgether.
Step 5: Presentatin
1. Ask the students abut their hbbies (dgs).Let them talk abut their dgs’ appearance and names. Teach them the new wrd “master”.
2. Take ut a picture f Eddie and Hb, teach the new wrds “e-dg, lk after”, and review “lk up, lk like, lk at”.
3. Let the students read the dialgue n page 2 after the teacher, then ask several students t read it fr the class.
