Part One: Preview

 Preview Aims: ①Make the class read the words and the text of this lesson.

            ②. Know the meaning of the text and then translate some expressions.

 Preview Contents: ①Page58, translate the text and underline the language points.

                ② Translate some expressions:

a. at the corner store    b.给你钱。   c. Can I help you?   d.你要点什么？    

 e. Take one down.      f. Pass it around.   g.3瓶水

Part Two: New Lesson

Step1: Review and Check

1.Dictation for some words and expressions in Lesson 22

2. Check their preview homework.

①Let some of the Ss read the words and then teach the words

②Work in groups to exchange and discuss the meaning of the text and then translate.

③Ask some of them to show their results.

Step II Presentation

a. With some pictures ask the Ss to name some foods and drinks.

b. Ask the Ss: What do you have for breakfast/lunch/supper?

Where can you buy foods and drinks? (store, shop, supermarket, lead in: at the corner store)

Step III Listen and tick

    Listen and do Ex1(Let’s do it)

Step IV listen，read and answer:

    1. Listen to the tape and repeat.

2.Answer: 

a. Where does Mrs. Dinosaur send Danny?

b. Does Danny bring his own money?

c. Where is the juice and coke?

d. What does Mrs. Dinosaur ask Danny when he comes home?

Step V Twenty Bottles

      Bring 20 bottles. Put them on a desk..

      Listen and then listen and repeat.

      Listen and let one student come to the front. When the class sings, “Take one down. Pass it around.” the one takes one bottles and pass it to another students. That student passes it to the student beside him/her, and so on.

Step VI Read and discuss

   Deal with the language points and try to make some sentences with them.

Step VIII Practice and a quiz

1. Ex2 (Page59)   

2. Ex3 (Page59) (Work in pairs, then let some of pairs show to the others.)

Step VII Summary

   Go over the words and language points.

Ask one student to read the title of Lesson 23.
